At the start, it was the Patriots who looked strong, down 11-8 midway through the first period, they went on an offensive tear and closed out the quarter with an impressive 25-15 lead
Led by the gritty play of junior point guard Blake Rorrer, the Pride began chipping away at the Park View margin. When the Patriots called their second timeout of the period, with 1:08 left, Heritage had come all the way back to take their first lead of the night, 34-31. Park View tied it at 34-34, but the Pride tipped one in at the buzzer to hold a slim 36-34 lead at halftime.
The Patriots came out of the locker room unsteady, and a series of self-inflicted mistakes gave Heritage the chance to open up a ten-point lead, 48-38. But Park View righted themselves and closed the gap to 52-47 before the Pride hit another buzzer beater to end the third quarter leading 54-47.
Park View pressed hard in the final period, but despite the opposing defense Heritage continued to build the lead and finished with a decisive victory.
Final Score: Heritage 63 - Park View 52
